The Volunteer Monument
This memorial was originally erected by the citizens of Winnipeg in 1886 in memory of the local dead of the Battles of Fish Creek and Batoche during the North-West Rebellion. It was moved to this location in 1963 and rededicated on 26 May 1968 when The Royal Winnipeg Rifles were granted the freedom of the City of Winnipeg.

The Volunteer Monument
