The Fraser Delta
About a mile beneath the river in front of you lies the old rock floor of this valley. For over 50 million years the Fraser, interrupted by periods of glaciation and mountain building, has carried soil from the Interior. Once through the mountains, it slowed and built this broad fertile delta for 60 miles to the sea.

Le delta du Fraser
À environ un mille sous la rivière, devant vous, se trouve l’ancien plancher rocheux de cette vallée. Depuis plus de 50 millions d’années, le Fraser, interrompu par des périodes de glaciation et de formation de montagnes, transporte de la terre depuis l’Intérieur. Une fois sorti des montagnes, il a ralenti et a construit ce vaste delta fertile sur 60 milles jusqu’à la mer.
