The Crimson Sockeye

The Adams River contains the most productive spawning beds in B.C. Each fall the river teems with crimson sockeye salmon. To the Indian, fur-trader, and the first settlers, the advent of the ‘run’ could mean life itself. The continuance of this age-old spawning cycle will bring millions of dollars each year to the people of the Pacific Northwest.
