Saint Patrick Shield Window

All four of the shield stained glass windows, located outside the entrance to the Memorial Chamber, were designed by Frank Hollister and constructed by Cowan & Hollister in 1928.

This window has a white shield with red saltire representing the cross of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, and is complemented with helmet and shamrock.

Les quatre vitraux à bouclier, situés à l’extérieur de l’entrée de la Chapelle du Souvenir, ont été conçus par Frank Hollister et construits par Cowan & Hollister en 1928.

Cette fenêtre est ornée d’un bouclier blanc avec sautoir rouge représentant la croix de Saint-Patrick, saint patron de l’Irlande, et est parée d’un casque et d’un trèfle.
