Saint Andrew Window

All four of the shield stained glass windows, located outside the entrance to the Memorial Chamber, were designed by Frank Hollister and constructed by Cowan & Hollister in 1928.

This window has a blue shield with white saltire, symbolizing the cross of Saint Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland, complemented with helmet, fleur-de-lis and ribbon.

Les quatre vitraux en forme de bouclier situés à l’extérieur de l’entrée de la Chapelle du Souvenir ont été conçus par Frank Hollister et construits par Cowan & Hollister en 1928.

Ce vitrail comporte un bouclier bleu et deux épées en sautoir symbolisant la croix de Saint-André, patron des Écossais. S’y ajoutent un casque, une fleur de lis et un ruban.
