Sailor’s Window of Remembrance

This stained glass window, Sailor’s Window of Remembrance, at St. Paul’s Anglican Church is a set of 3 memorial windows. After The Royal Canadian Navy Centennial Memorial Window (NICMM #59005-063), an Official Naval Centennial Project was dedicated in 2010, the donations left over were sufficient to create a second set of 3 smaller windows for the church. These windows were unveiled in 2011, dedicated to the sailors of the RN, the RFA, and the RCN who have given their lives in the service of their countries.

Ce vitrail de l’église anglicane St. Paul, intitulé « Vitrail du souvenir marin », est un ensemble de trois panneaux en verre antique. Après la réalisation du vitrail commémoratif du Centenaire de la Marine royale du Canada (NICMM n° 59005-063), un projet officiel du Centenaire de la Marine canadienne inauguré en 2010, le montant des dons restants était suffisant pour créer un second ensemble de trois vitraux plus petits pour l’église. Ces vitraux ont été dévoilés en 2011, en hommage aux marins de la RN, de la RFA et de la MRC qui ont perdu la vie au service de leur pays.
