Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 124 Memorial Cairn
This stone cairn was dedicated in September of 1985 and is located in one of the most historically significant areas of Canada. Nearby, the battles were fought in the War of 1812, and soldiers were trained for the World Wars and every other conflict before that at Butler’s Barracks training area. After the Second World War, the area was made into a historical park and the land was donated to the local Legion.
The cairn features a metal plaque with the names of men in the area who sacrificed their lives in the World Wars.
