Regina Air Terminal
In 1925 the Regina Municipal Airport was established here replacing an earlier one in Lakeview from 1919 – 1924. Known as the Regina Air Harbour it had been the first registered flying field in Canada. Regina holds several other firsts in Canada’s aviation history. In 1920 Roland J. Groome of Regina was issued Canada’s first commercial pilots licence, his mechanic, R. Mc Combie, held the first aero-mechanic’s licence and his Curtis JN4 was given the first registration number, G-CAAA.
