Before you lies one of the most intricate coastlines in the world. Into this sheltered strait, ageless domain of the Indian, sailed Jose Narvaez in the year 1791. Other Spaniards and George Vancouver followed. Fighting wind and tide, they charted this remote maze of water ways – milestone in the mapping of the world.
