Pharmacy Building
The Pharmacy Building, a narrow two-storey brick building erected in Carberry’s business district at the turn of the twentieth century as the south section of a larger commercial block, stands in a modified and expanded state among a group of historic structures of similar character. The municipal designation applies to the building and its deep lot.
The Pharmacy Building, a serviceable two-part commercial facility physically integrated with the building on its north side, is one of the mainstays in a long contiguous row of early mixed-use structures that forms a defining streetscape in Historic Downtown Carberry, a designated heritage district. The facility is practical in its exterior aesthetics and contains some fine interior wood appointments. It also represents important functional continuity, having accommodated for most of its existence a succession of doctors, dentists and druggists who have provided vital professional services to the town and surrounding agricultural community.

L’édifice de la pharmacie, un étroit bâtiment de brique de deux niveaux érigé dans le quartier commercial de Carberry au tournant du XXe siècle comme partie sud d’un pâté d’immeubles commerciaux, se dresse, modifié et agrandi, dans un groupe d’édifices historiques de caractère comparable. La désignation municipale s’applique à l’édifice et à sa profonde parcelle.
L’édifice de la pharmacie, un établissement commercial fonctionnel de deux parties intégré physiquement à son voisin du côté nord, est l’un des « piliers » d’une rangée ininterrompue d’immeubles anciens à vocation multiple qui forment un paysage de rue caractéristique dans le centre-ville historique de Carberry, un quartier qualifié de site municipal du patrimoine. L’immeuble est pratique dans l’esthétique de son extérieur et contient à l’intérieur de beaux aménagements de bois. Il représente l’importance de la permanence d’une fonction importante, ayant servi durant la majeure partie de son existence une quantité de médecins, de dentistes et de pharmaciens qui ont fourni des services professionnels essentiels au village et à la communauté rurale des environs.
