Petrofka Ferry

Dedicated to pioneers of Slavic origin. In 1899 Russian Religious Refugees from Transcaucasia, members of the Doukhobor Faith, founded ten villages in the area near here. For their convenience the Petrofka Ferry was established below this point in 1901. It was an important link across the North Saskatchewan River for the trails and roads of the region.

Traversier de Petrofka

Dédié aux pionniers d’origine slave. En 1899, des réfugiés religieux russes de Transcaucasie, membres de la foi doukhobore, ont fondé dix villages dans la région, près d’ici. Pour leur commodité, le traversier de Petrofka a été établi en aval de ce point en 1901. Il constituait un lien important à travers la rivière Saskatchewan Nord pour les pistes et les routes de la région.
