Frederick Phillip Grove (1879-1948)
This leading Canadian novelist and essayist is buried in the southwest corner of the cemetery at Rapid City. For seventeen years Grove taught at various high schools in south-central Manitoba, moving to Ontario in 1929 where he died at Simcoe. His published works faithfully portray the prairie landscape of Manitoba and the life of its pioneers.

Ce romancier et essayiste canadien de premier plan est inhumé dans l’angle sud-ouest du cimetière de Rapid City. Pendant dix-sept ans, Grove a enseigné dans diverses écoles secondaires du centre-sud du Manitoba, avant de s’installer en Ontario en 1929; il est décédé à Simcoe.
