Father Pandosy OMI

Father Pandosy, an Oblate priest from France, ministered to First Nations and settlers in widely separated parts of British Columbia for over 30 years, until his death in 1891. His mission, with its church, school, and farms, established in 1859-60 on this site, formed the first European settlement in the Okanagan Valley.

Le père Pandosy, O.M.I.

Le père Pandosy, prêtre oblat venu de France, a exercé son ministère auprès des Premières Nations et des colons dans des régions éloignées de la Colombie-Britannique pendant plus de 30 ans, jusqu’à sa mort en 1891. Sa mission, avec son église, son école et ses fermes, établie en 1859-1860 sur ce site, a été le premier établissement européen de la vallée de l’Okanagan.
