Eagle Hills Post

This fur trading post was established on the North Saskatchewan River near here in 1778 by a group of free traders, including Peter Pangman and John Cole. Incensed by incidents arising out of the trade in liquor, the Indians killed Cole and destroyed the post when the surviving pedlars hurriedly abandoned it in April, 1779.
