Drumbo War Memorial
The Drumbo cenotaph is located on the school property of the Drumbo Central Bleinheim District Public School 32 Wilmot St S, on Mechanic Street, just east of Wilmot Street S. The school was built in 1946.
This memorial was unveiled in 1920, by the local village of Drumbo, dedicated to the war dead of the First World War. Later the names of the dead from the Second World War were also engraved in the stone shaft. The Korean War is also acknowledged. A traditional statue of a Great War soldier standing at ease rests on top of the granite shaft. Another fitting tribute of a small community to honour the brave men who fought and died for peace. The name of Emerson Crosby was added to the Drumbo Cenotaph in 2005.
