Denny Island War Memorial

This memorial is a stainless steel obelisk on a concrete slab, as well as a 10-foot totem pole on the same slab. The totem commemorates the service of local people who fought in the First World War, the central coast First Nation members and military members who served in the RCAF Station Bella Bella. It was unveiled by the Denny Island Community Development Association and the 101 Squadron RCAFA on July 6, 2013.

Ce monument commémoratif est un obélisque en acier inoxydable érigé sur une dalle de béton, laquelle accueille également un totem de 3 mètres (10 pieds). Ce totem commémore le service des citoyens qui ont combattu durant la Première Guerre mondiale, les membres des Premières nations côtières et les soldats qui ont servi à la station de l’ARC à Bella Bella. Le monument a été dévoilé par l’association Denny Island Community Development et le 101e Escadron de l’AARC, le 6 juillet 2013.
