Denis House
The Denis House, classified as a historic monument, is a large house with a rectangular plan consisting of a main stone building, erected around 1760, and a wooden extension added on the east side shortly after 1836. It has three habitable levels and is topped by a high gable roof. Located in the western part of the municipality of Neuville, it is surrounded by a protection area.
The heritage value of the Denis House lies in its architectural interest. It is an 18th-century French-inspired rural dwelling, as shown by its high gable roof with straight slopes, its two stone chimneys, the asymmetry of its openings, its off-centre door and the complexity of its roof framing. The Denis House also stands out for its imposing dimensions, which make it one of the main landmarks of Neuville. Despite some alterations, including the addition of dormers, this building retains several interesting old features, including its bread oven and its shutters.
Maison Denis
