Carman and Dufferin Memorial Hall

Construction began on this Memorial Hall in October 1919 after the municipalities of Carman and Dufferin had agreed to build it in memory of the local men who died during the First World War. Completed over the course of the next year, the Memorial Hall was officially opened on 24 May 1920. It was originally intended mainly as a recreational facility for the men who returned from the war, but has also served in many other municipal roles since its construction. The building was renovated in 1997 and is maintained by the Rural Municipality of Dufferin and the town of Carman.
