Basswood Cenotaph
After the First World War , the people of Basswood and District remembered those who had lost their lives in the service of King and Country by inscribing their names on a War Memorial Cenotaph erected in the centre of the village. Following the Second World War the names of those from the District who lost their lives were added to the Memorial. The Honour Roll for the seventeen men who made the supreme sacrifice in the First World War and six in the Second World War is inscribed.
