Charles Héon, né à Bécancour le 19 mars 1799, arriva ici le 14 mars 1825.
En dépit de grands et de nombreux obstacles, ce pionnier, par son seul courage et sans aucune protection, a tracé la voie que des milliers d’autres ont suivis.
