Old Town Lunenburg

Laid out in 1753 on a British colonial grid plan, Lunenburg is one of the best-preserved planned colonial towns in North America. Many of its brightly painted wooden buildings date from the 18th and 19th centuries, and it is still a working fishing and shipbuilding town.

Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1995 (cultural site).

Vieux-Lunenburg
