CFB North Bay CF-100 Memorial

This aircraft and memorial was erected by 422 Wing Air Force Association, in recognition of all who flew and worked on the CF-100 Canuck. The CF-100 was the only Canadian designed fighter to ever enter mass production. It served the RCAF and Belgian Air Forces during the 1950’s and 60’s, and was used here in North Bay by the 414 Black Knight squadron for electronic warfare until 1981.

The memorial here consists of a CF-100 on a cement pedestal, with two plaques mounted on the base to commemorate those who lost their lives flying the Canuck, and to those who flew and worked on her.
