Airmen Algoma District Memorial
This memorial is dedicated to the Airmen from Algoma district. It was erected by 432 Wing RCAF Association.
Excerpts from newspaper name unknown: Memorial Erected at Airport. A grey granite memorial, topped with a replica of the famed Lancaster bomber, will be dedicated Sunday at the Sault Ste. Marie airport. It will stand five feet, six inches tall before the flagpole, opposite the main entrance to the airport building. The bomber replica is of cedar and aluminium, camouflaged and made to scale with a 27-inch wingspan. It was dedicated September 12, 1965.

Monument du district d’Algoma en hommage aux membres de la force aérienne
Ce mémorial est dédié aux aviateurs du district d’Algoma. Il a été érigé par l’Association de la 432e escadre de l’ARC.
Extraits d’un article de journal (titre et date inconnus) sur l’érection d’un mémorial à l’aéroport. Un mémorial de granit gris, couronné d’une réplique du célèbre bombardier Lancaster, sera inauguré dimanche à l’aéroport de Sault Ste. Marie. Ce monument de cinq pied et six pouces de haut sera placé devant le mât, en face de l’entrée principale de l’aérogare. La réplique du bombardier, réalisée à l’échelle, a une envergure de 27 pouces; elle est faite de cèdre et d’aluminium, et peinte en couleurs de camouflage. Le mémorial a été inauguré le 12 septembre 1965.
