Millville War Memorial
This monument is located in Millville, New Brunswick. It was constructed in 1958 in memory of those who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars. He is a one time local president and District Commander. He was born and raised in the Millville area and served active duty in the Second World War. Lewis Jones was aided by Col. J. Chester MacRae who is also a Second World War veteran and an active Royal Canadian Legion officer in Fredericton at the time of the memorials unveiling, he was a Member of Parliament. The memorial was funded by Branch #59. The plot of ground was donated by Frank and Ida Jones (parents of Lewis Jones). The Flewellings Funeral Home acquired the stone memorial to help keep the cost to a minimum.
