Richibucto Cenotaph
This memorial is dedicated to the war dead of Kent County. Richibucto is the Shiretown of Kent County. The Legion was in the process of having a Cenotaph built but was short of funds. The County Councillors were attending a meeting, and the Legion served them a dinner. The President informed the councillors of their plans to erect a Cenotaph and of their shortage of funds. During the meeting session the next day, they voted unanimously in favour of providing the additional funds. That is why the main Remembrance Day ceremonies are held at the Richibucto Cenotaph. Funding for maintenance is provided by the Town of Richibucto.

Cénotaphe de Richibucto
Ce mémorial est dédié aux résidants du comté de Kent, morts à la guerre. Richibucto est le chef-lieu du comté de Kent. La Légion avait entrepris d’y construire un cénotaphe, mais elle a manqué de fonds. Les conseillers du comté ont assisté à une réunion au cours de laquelle les membres de la Légion leur ont offert à dîner. Le président a informé les conseillers des projets de la Légion pour la construction d’un cénotaphe et du manque de fonds. Au cours d’une réunion tenue le lendemain, les conseillers ont voté à l’unanimité l’octroi de fonds additionnels. C’est ainsi que les principales cérémonies du jour du Souvenir ont lieu aujourd’hui au cénotaphe de Richibucto. Les fonds nécessaires à son entretien sont fournis par la municipalité de Richibucto.
