416 Wing RCAFA Air Force Memorial
The 416 Wing RCAFA Air Force Memorial was erected by 416 Wing, Royal Canadian Air Force Association around 1967. Dates commemorating the Korean War were added after it was first inaugurated.
There are two oak trees near the memorial that are dedicated to “Grieving the tragedy of war, committed to the promise of peace.” One tree is about 100 years old. The other tree was planted in 2013 on September 21, the International Day of Peace.
