A lean-to annex was built at the rear of the residence. The house is set back from the public road, on landscaped grounds, in the La Baie borough of the city of Saguenay.

The heritage value of 2183, rue Bagot lies in its representativeness as a vernacular dwelling. The house at 2183, rue Bagot probably dates from the turn of the 20th century. The dwelling is characteristic of vernacular architecture in its simple plan, gable roof with flared eaves, symmetrically arranged openings on the facade, simple lines and lack of ornamentation. The residence thus bears witness to the persistence of certain traditional models developed in the 19th century in 20th-century residential architecture.
