151 Robert Street
151 Robert Street is located on the west side of Robert Street, south of Hugh Street, in the Town of Milton. The one storey wood frame residence was constructed circa 1860.
The property was designated by the Town of Milton in 2007 for its heritage value under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act (By-law 005-2007).
151 Robert Street is an excellent example of an Ontario Cottage style of architecture. Typical of this style is the front roof articulated with a gothic gable centred over the entrance. The cottage is a one storey rectangular box capped with a hip roof and original double hung wood windows with two lights per sash. The residence is historically associated with prominent Milton hotel keeper, John Wallace Jr.
In June 2006, 151 Robert Street was relocated from its original site at 167 Mary Street as a part of the Town Hall expansion process.

Le 151, rue Robert se trouve du côté ouest de la rue Robert, au sud de la rue Hugh, dans la ville de Milton. Cette résidence d’un étage à ossature de bois a été construite vers 1860.
La propriété a été désignée par la Ville de Milton en 2007 pour sa valeur patrimoniale en vertu de la partie IV de la Loi sur le patrimoine de l’Ontario (règlement 005-2007).
Le 151, rue Robert est un excellent exemple de l’architecture de style « cottage ontarien ». Le versant avant du toit, articulé par un pignon gothique centré au-dessus de l’entrée, est typique de ce style. Le cottage est un volume rectangulaire d’un étage coiffé d’un toit en croupe et doté de ses fenêtres à guillotine en bois d’origine, à deux carreaux par châssis. La résidence est historiquement associée à John Wallace Jr., un hôtelier en vue de Milton.
En juin 2006, le 151, rue Robert a été déplacé de son emplacement d’origine, au 167, rue Mary, dans le cadre du projet d’agrandissement de l’hôtel de ville.
